Introduction to Quilting

Have you always wanted to make a quilt but didn’t know where to start? Now’s your chance! Join us for our brand-new Beginner Quilting Class, where you’ll learn the art of quilting step by step in a fun and supportive environment.

In this class we will discuss the basic of quilting, piecing, rotary cutting, etc
we will discuss among the group attending what type of quilting you are interested in, and then we decide from there what next session will be, each session will be paid individually
Please bring your ideas to class to discuss them with the instructor

What You’ll Learn:

• How to choose fabric and plan a quilt layout

• Cutting techniques using a rotary cutter and ruler and mat

• Piecing blocks accurately

• Basic quilting techniques  

• how to sew an accurate ¼” seam

• how to "nest" seams creating precise intersections

• how to create various blocks using straight seams

• How to bind and finish your quilt

Additional sewing will need to be completed outside of class

Sewing Classes Rules & Policies

1.    Attendance & Make-Ups

• Please notify us if you will be absent.
• Missing a class does not reduce tuition cost.
• If a student misses a session, makeup spots are offered only if space is available.

2. Cancellation / Refunds

• Cancellations made 3+ days before class receive a full refund or credit.
• Cancellations 1–3 days before class receive store credit.
• Same-day cancellations or no-shows are not refundable.

3. Photography & Social Media

We occasionally take photos of finished projects and class activities.
If you do not want to be photographed or have your child photographed, please let us know at check-in.

4. Minimum Enrollment Required

• Classes may be rescheduled if fewer than 2 students register.
• If Sewing Solutions Hub cancels or reschedules, students may choose:
  ? Full refund
  ? Move to a future class date
  ? Store credit
